How do I sign up for The Grassroots Index?
To sign up as a club or coach:
- Click on "Club Login" in the navigation menu
- Select "Register here" below the login form
- Fill out the registration form with your details
- Choose your account type (Club or Private Coach)
- Select your membership plan
- Check the terms of service box
- Click "Create Account"
You'll receive a confirmation email to verify your account. Once verified, you can log in and complete your profile.
How do I claim or take control of an existing profile?
If your club or coaching service already has a profile on our platform:
- Register for an account using the email associated with your organization
- Navigate to your profile page in the directory
- Click the "Claim this profile" button
- Complete the verification process, which includes:
- Providing proof of your association with the club/coaching service
- Verifying your email domain matches the organization
- Possibly answering verification questions
Our team will review your claim within 2-3 business days. Once approved, you'll have full control of your profile.
How do I report an abusive or inappropriate review?
We take review quality seriously. To report an abusive review:
- Navigate to the review in question
- Click the "Report" flag icon in the bottom corner of the review
- Select the reason for reporting (inappropriate language, false information, etc.)
- Provide additional details if requested
- Submit your report
Our moderation team will review the report within 48 hours. If the review violates our community guidelines, it will be removed or edited. You'll receive a notification about the outcome.
How do I reply to a review of my club or coaching service?
As a verified club or coach account holder, you can respond to reviews:
- Log in to your account
- Navigate to your profile
- Find the review you want to respond to
- Click the "Reply" button beneath the review
- Write your response in a professional manner
- Click "Post Reply"
Your reply will appear publicly beneath the original review. Remember to keep responses professional and constructive, even for negative reviews.
Note: Standard members can reply once to each review. Premium members can engage in ongoing conversations with reviewers.
How much does membership cost?
We offer two membership tiers:
Standard

- Up to 3 services

Premium
- Featured profile listing
- Up to 6 services
- Answer to reviews
- Priority support
- Premium badge
- Reply to responses
- Priority placement
Both plans are billed monthly with no long-term commitment required. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time.
How do I pay for my membership?
We process all payments securely through Stripe, a leading payment processor:
- During registration or when upgrading your account, you'll be directed to our payment page
- Enter your credit/debit card details
- All information is securely processed by Stripe - we never store your card details
- You'll receive an email receipt for each payment
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Your subscription will automatically renew each month until canceled.
You can update your payment method or cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
How are ratings calculated?
Our rating system is designed to provide a fair and accurate representation of each club or coach:
- Review Components: Each review includes ratings for multiple categories:
- Coaching Quality (40% weight)
- Facilities (20% weight)
- Value for Money (20% weight)
- Communication (10% weight)
- Overall Experience (10% weight)
- Weighted Average: The overall rating is a weighted average of these components
- Recency Factor: More recent reviews have a slightly higher impact on the overall rating
- Minimum Reviews: A profile needs at least 3 reviews to display an official rating
Our algorithm also includes measures to prevent rating manipulation and to identify outlier reviews that may skew results.
